Born in La Lorraine and brought up in Yvelines, Philippe Roth was inspired by his grandmother’s talent in the kitchen and grew up with a love of quality home-grown produce. Nowadays Philippe’s inspiration comes from everywhere, whether he’s eating out, reading cookbooks, or browsing produce at the market. An ambitious cook, he enjoys the challenge of creating dishes which will leave a lasting impression.
Philippe has worked at prestigious establishments such as the two-Michelin star Le Tastevin in France, and was head chef at a five-star hotel in Luxembourg. In Japan he taught French cuisine and developed his Asian-French fusion style of cooking. Philippe has lived in London for the past 20 years where he has worked for High Table and Avenance. He was running his own catering department at a prestigious law firm. As well as working as a Private Chef for La Belle Assiette to create a luxury private dining experience in your own home.
